Zephico Technologies Joins the Databricks Partner Program as a Consulting Partner

Zephico Technologies today announced it has joined the Databricks Partner Program as a Consulting Partner, formalizing a data engineering practice the company has been running for enterprise clients across North America and Europe.

The partnership follows Zephico’s delivery of one of the larger orchestration migrations the firm has taken on: roughly 15,000 Apache Airflow and Azure Data Factory jobs converted to Unity-Catalog-native Databricks Workflows for a Canadian financial services company, completed in four months by a three-person team.

Automation instead of headcount

The scale of that engagement is what shaped how Zephico approaches Databricks work. Migrating 15,000 jobs by hand — remapping paths, rewriting cluster access into Unity Catalog grants, testing and redeploying each one — would have taken years at any reasonable pace.

Instead, Zephico drove the conversion through the Databricks REST API, with Terraform managing deployment and version control for the result. The team also designed the client’s software development lifecycle end to end, as an organization-wide practice rather than a one-off fix for the migration.

“Most data teams we meet don’t have a Databricks problem, they have a scale-of-change problem,” said Saurabh Panja, Founder of Zephico Technologies. “They know where they need to get to. What stops them is that the path there is fifteen thousand small tasks, and nobody has fifteen thousand small tasks worth of people. Our job is to turn that into an automation problem, which is a much smaller problem.”

What the practice covers

Zephico’s Databricks practice spans lakehouse and medallion architecture design, batch and streaming pipeline development, legacy data warehouse migration, Unity Catalog governance, and platform cost optimization. The company has packaged the work it does most often into three fixed-scope engagements — a Unity Catalog migration assessment, a Databricks cost audit, and orchestration migration at scale — available through its Databricks partner page.

The company’s engineers hold individual Databricks certifications alongside AWS and Retool credentials, and work from Ahmedabad, India with at least four hours of overlap with United States Eastern and European working days. Every engagement runs GDPR-compliant by default, with data processing agreements and least-privilege access as standard rather than as paid additions.

Zephico works in two models: placing certified engineers into a client’s existing team on contract, and delivering platform work end to end with weekly reporting. The Canadian migration ran as the latter.
